At 34 years old, I have been climbing rock and ice for half of my life - my entire adulthood has been shaped by the process of developing, planning, and executing climbing adventures. Sustaining this lifestyle has been challenging in so much that it requires a holistic approach to health and wellness. As my life gets busier and less time permits, I find that my body needs and thrives off of routine. I am referring to a balance of mindfulness, exercise and nutrition.
Regardless of your who you are, what you do professionally, your time constraints, etc. etc., everyone stands to benefit from the big three. There is no time to waste when it comes to your health and wellness.
Why?
Simply put, your body is your machine. If you do not take care of this machine it will wear out too quickly. Genetics aside, if you could choose how you look and feel by picking from a human menu, followed by pushing a restart button, likely you would choose to look and feel better than the present moment. So many of us have little to no time to take care of ourselves. At the end of the day we may feel completely exhausted and desperately need sleep. If there was even 30 minutes everyday to commit to pushing the restart button, most of us would find it challenging to find the motivation. Pushing the restart button requires a lot of knowledge and a lot of support.
The Solution...
...Me, a professional who thrives on health and wellness! Even more, I love to design personalized routines for people who don't have the time to "get their body back" or for anyone who wants to set a goal in the arena of health and wellness. A health and wellness professional who provides knowledge and support every step of the way is huge value.
Here's a silly yet appropriate line I often quote to my clients, "If you're looking good, you're feeling good. And if you're feeling good, then you are definitely looking good." What we gain from adopting a health and wellness routine that fits our schedule and goals is embodied in that quote. We feel more confident about our self-image and we have more energy. Those long, stressful hours at work quickly seem to pass and seemingly we have the energy to execute our routine. This change actually happens quickly and your human machine begins to crave more. It sounds so simple and the truth is that it is....you'll thank me later. But this reality is only yours if you make the first step.
